Empowerment Coach
Dashawna Drew
Dashawna is the founder of BreakThrough, a mental training program designed to build confidence, resilience, and emotional strength in young performers. With over 18 years immersed in personal growth and psychology, she is dedicated to empowering the next generation of dancers to succeed not just on stage — but within themselves.

Her journey began early. Introduced to therapy at age six and completing renowned mindset programs such as Landmark and Millionaire Mind by nine, she developed a lifelong fascination with how the mind shapes performance, emotion, and success.
As a competitive dancer and singer, Dashawna witnessed firsthand the intense pressure, perfectionism, and emotional strain many young performers face. Instead of accepting this as “just the way it is,” she devoted her studies at Queen’s University in Psychology and Philosophy — and years of research after — to understanding how to create healthier, more supportive performance environments.
Today, she equips dancers with the mindset tools she wishes every child in the industry had:
✨ Confidence and self-belief
✨ Tools for handling nerves & perfectionism
✨ Healthy self-talk and identity beyond medals
✨ Emotional regulation and resilience
✨ Supportive, uplifting team culture

Her mission is simple yet powerful: prepare dancers mentally before the pressure hits — so they grow up confident, grounded, and emotionally strong.
Dashawna will also be launching a dedicated program to support former dancers and performers in healing from past competitive environments — bringing her work full-circle, for both the next generation and those still rebuilding from the old one.
